Engineering & Safety
Structural integrity, fire compliance, and engineered rigging data you can trust
Built to the Highest Standards
Every Pop Pro Tent is backed by rigorous structural engineering analysis, independent fire testing, and professional-grade rigging specifications. Whether you are hosting a backyard wedding or producing a major festival requiring permitting, our documentation gives venue owners, fire marshals, and event planners the confidence they need to approve your installation.
Below you will find downloadable wind load calculations, fire certificate documentation, and complete engineered rigging specs for our entire product range. Each document is produced by licensed structural engineers and accredited testing laboratories.
Structural Wind Load Calculations
All Pop Pro Tents are independently analyzed for wind loading per ASCE 7-16 standards. Each tent size has a corresponding wind load report detailing sustained wind ratings, gust tolerance, uplift forces, and recommended anchoring patterns for various soil conditions.
| Tent Size | Max Sustained Wind | Gust Rating | Surface Area | Uplift Force |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 15-20 Pax (5m x 5m) | 55 mph | 70 mph | 25 m² | 1,240 lbf |
| 25-30 Pax (6m x 6m) | 52 mph | 65 mph | 36 m² | 1,785 lbf |
| 65-70 Pax (9m x 9m) | 48 mph | 60 mph | 81 m² | 3,880 lbf |
| 150-180 Pax (12m x 12m) | 45 mph | 55 mph | 144 m² | 6,480 lbf |
| 300 Pax (15m x 15m) | 42 mph | 50 mph | 225 m² | 9,450 lbf |
| 500 Pax (20m x 20m) | 38 mph | 45 mph | 400 m² | 15,200 lbf |

Fire Certificates & Compliance
Fire safety is non-negotiable. Our fabrics are independently tested to the most widely referenced fire codes in the United States. Download our certificate documentation for submission to fire marshals, venue managers, and permitting authorities.
NFPA 701
NFPA 701 — Standard Methods of Fire Tests for Flame Propagation of Textiles and Films
Our entire fabric range is tested and certified to NFPA 701 Method 1 (small scale) and Method 2 (large scale). This is the gold standard for tent fabric fire resistance across the United States and is required by fire marshals in virtually every jurisdiction.
CA Title 19
California Code of Regulations Title 19 — Public Safety, Division 1: State Fire Marshal
California Title 19 Section 1237.1 is one of the most stringent fire codes in the country. Our fabrics meet or exceed the CA Title 19 flame retardancy requirements. If you are operating in California — or any jurisdiction that references CA standards — this certificate is essential for permit approval.
ASTM E84
ASTM E84 — Standard Test Method for Surface Burning Characteristics
Our fabrics are also tested to ASTM E84 (Steiner Tunnel Test), which measures flame spread index and smoke developed index. This is frequently requested for indoor or semi-permanent installations where building codes intersect with temporary structures.
Need a specific code we haven not listed?
We can provide additional testing documentation on request. Contact our engineering team and we will work with our accredited testing partners to meet your jurisdiction's requirements.
Engineered Rigging Specifications
Every rigging component in the Pop Pro Tents system is specified with working load limits (WLL), minimum breaking strengths (MBS), and material certifications. These specs are suitable for inclusion in site safety plans and engineering submissions.
